Siong Chen holds a BA in Natural Sciences (Chemistry) and an MPhil in Biophysics from the University of Cambridge, where he was awarded the John Whitworth Scholarship, the Downing College Foundation Scholarship and the Harold Hargreaves Chemistry Prize in recognition of his outstanding academic performance. During his time at Cambridge, he was appointed as a supervisor in chemistry, delivering personalised small-group teaching to undergraduate students.

Siong Chen is currently pursuing a PhD in Chemistry at the University of Oxford, funded by the prestigious Wellcome Trust Studentship.
