Rory is currently pursuing a PhD in Computation, Cognition and Language at the University of Cambridge, following an MPhil in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics from Cambridge. He holds a BA in Linguistics and English Studies from the University of Hong Kong, where he received several academic awards, including the Macmillan Prize in Linguistics and the Fr Alvaro Ribeiro SJ Memorial Scholarship.

Rory has over ten years of experience teaching English to secondary school students in Hong Kong, where he led curriculum development and managed digital education platforms.

At First Class, Rory leads our IELTS and TOEFL programmes. He specialises in strategic language coaching, helping students develop the advanced skills and techniques needed to achieve top scores in these competitive international qualifications.
